A 58-year-old interior designer, residing in both Brazil and Switzerland, presents to his general practitioner in Brazil with persistent upper abdominal pain. He also reports postprandial fullness and mild nausea, despite no changes in the size or composition of his meals. He currently weighs 98 kg and is 174 cm tall. Although he has always struggled with his weight, he recently noticed an unintentional weight loss of 3 kg.

History
A 65-year-old woman, with no relevant comorbidities and no history of chronic medication use, presented to her GP with persistent abdominal discomfort.
The GP initiated a diagnostic work-up, including laboratory testing, and prescribed symptomatic treatment with scopolamine butylbromide 10 mg 3–5x/d, paracetamol 1 g 3x/d, and mebeverine hydrochloride 200 mg 2x/d.

A 49-year-old man, an active smoker with a 30 pack-year history presents to his otorhinolaryngologist (ENT) because of a progressive dysphonia that started around Christmas 2021. It was accompanied by a worsening dyspnoea on exertion. The self-employed auto mechanic is otherwise in good health with an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group Performance Status (ECOG) of 1.
